Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Convert raw utility and geospatial data into precise digital twin models of electricity networks.

• Participate in the comprehensive deployment of the Neara platform for utility clients globally.

• Ingest and manipulate extensive LiDAR, GIS, and asset datasets utilizing Neara’s schema language and configuration framework.

• Conduct thorough QA/QC to ensure digital twins accurately represent real-world physics and meet customer specifications.

• Create customized reports and dashboards within the platform for utility engineers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on enhancements to processes and tools.

• Assist in accelerating future deployments and automating essential deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Integration Engineer, Software Engineer, or a comparable role.

• Proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as SQL or Python, with a willingness to learn a new language.

• Eagerness to learn and master a new schema language to manipulate data and generate reports.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Experience in contributing to internal knowledge bases and external user manuals.

• Ability to clearly articulate technical configurations to a variety of audiences in fluent English.

• A background in engineering, mathematics, software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Familiarity with GIS, CAD geoprocessing, or LiDAR data can be an advantage.

• Capability to dissect complex data inconsistencies and systematically reconfigure models to ensure complete accuracy.
