Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and sustain secure HR data pipelines utilizing dbt, PySpark, Python, and Apache Airflow.

• Ingest HR data from REST APIs, real-time streams, Google Sheets, web APIs, and external systems.

• Provision, configure, and maintain scalable infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading using Terraform, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, and AWS S3.

• Design and uphold data models, data marts, and warehouse structures in Snowflake and Google BigQuery.

• Construct semantic views and ontology layers mapping CORE → SEMANTIC → METRICS on dbt models.

• Configure and deploy generative AI query agents using Snowflake Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search.

• Maintain MCP connections between Snowflake and internal AI tools.

• Oversee pipelines to ensure a 99.5% uptime.

• Develop automated tests within a Data Quality Framework.

• Ensure secure management of PII and generate thorough technical documentation.

• Provide support for workforce analytics within international enterprise Centers of Excellence and executive leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in data engineering.

• Profound expertise in Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and dbt.

• Strong object-oriented Python scripting skills.

• Practical experience with REST API integrations and real-time data ingestion.

• Proficient in Apache Airflow.

• Advanced and highly optimized SQL writing abilities.

• Experience in securely managing large-scale sensitive data (PII).

• Strong skills in technical documentation.

• Background in Agile teams and remote, distributed work environments.

• Advanced/Fluent communication skills in English.

• Minimum of 4 core working hours overlapping with US Eastern Standard Time.

• Nice-to-have: experience with semantic modeling, Snowflake Cortex, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, MCP, equivalent LLM query frameworks, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
