Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Convert raw data into reliable and strategic data assets

• Integrate information generated in real-time or in batches

• Manage the end-to-end data flow, ensuring monitoring, business validation, and governance

• Support the delivery of team products from data engineering

• Engage in discovery sessions

• Design and develop MVPs

• Deliver results in production environments and track deliveries

• Work with components from the GCP suite

• Participate in the design of solutions and architecture for components

• Execute integration processes using APIs, Pub/Sub, Storage, and BigQuery

• Ensure the correct flow of data, quality rules, governance, and cataloging

• Document processes in Confluence

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL

• Experience with GCP Cloud components, especially BigQuery

• Familiarity with DevOps practices

• Understanding of Medallion Architecture principles

• Knowledge of Data Governance and Compliance

• Proficient in Python

• Experience in query optimization

• Experience with APIs and services

• Familiarity or experience with visualization tools such as Looker Studio or Grafana

• Confluence for process documentation or similar tools

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Capacity to collaborate with various roles and squads

• Problem-solving skills for complex data issues

• Mentoring and guiding peers

• Critical thinking abilities

• Commitment to continuous learning
