This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise ETL operations to ensure accurate and timely data delivery across various products.

• Manage data pipelines on a proprietary big data processing platform, ensuring adherence to data delivery SLAs.

• Oversee data engineering processes utilizing T-SQL, Spark, Scala, and shell scripting.

• Emphasize data ingestion for healthcare data management, validation, statistical report generation, and program validation.

• Design, support, and enhance scalable data ingestion processes while optimizing query performance.

• Execute data validation and quality assurance checks to uphold data integrity.

• Conduct troubleshooting, data analysis, data mining, investigations, and root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and provide appropriate data solutions.

• Work alongside Technical Operations to resolve intricate database, OS, storage, and server challenges.

• Offer off-hours support for production issues as required.

• Create data transformation specifications for loading source data into designated data warehouse tables.

• Uphold data governance policies and security protocols for sensitive information.

• Develop and maintain dashboards as necessary.

• Engage in client and stakeholder meetings.

• Complete productivity tracking and task assignments via the department ticketing system.

• Undertake special projects and other designated responsibilities.

• Attain organizational and individual objectives identified in performance evaluations and goal-setting activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• 2+ years of experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica, etc.) and proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related discipline.

• 2-4 years of experience with data aggregation, standardization, linking, quality check mechanisms, and reporting.

• 2-4 years of familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.

• Expertise in designing and implementing solutions involving relational databases, ETL tools, and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong understanding of Linux environments.

• Proficient in shell scripting and file systems.

• Familiarity with US healthcare data is advantageous.

• Capability to accurately analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve data-related challenges.

• Experience in coding principles and best practices for data manipulation and automation.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality, and data lifecycle management is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Flexible work schedule available.
