Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and architecture of comprehensive analytics solutions utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric

• Convert business needs into scalable data models, lakehouse architectures, and reporting frameworks

• Create and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models employing DAX and Power Query

• Execute Fabric components such as Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks

• Work in tandem with data engineers and business analysts to guarantee seamless integration and data integrity

• Assist in presales initiatives including solution design, effort estimation, and client presentations

• Establish and advocate best practices in data governance, performance tuning, and DevOps for BI

• Implement strong data transformation and validation procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with business definitions

• Collaborate with business analysts, data modelers, and reporting teams to ensure curated data facilitates deeper insights into corporate performance

• Enhance data pipelines for scalability, dependability, and maintainability through modular ETL design, version control, and CI/CD

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-level Power BI solutions

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture and its components

• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering, Fabric Dataflows, and Azure Data Factory

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Lake, SQL, and integration pipelines

• Experience with other low-code or analytics platforms (preferred)

• Understanding of data governance frameworks and security models (preferred)

• Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate or DP-600 (preferred)
