Data Centre Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure.

• Create, deploy, and manage Cisco ACI fabric operations, including Multi-Site and Multi-Pod architectures.

• Configure and oversee ACI tenants, VRFs, EPGs, contracts, APIC management, and L3Out integration.

• Lead data center migration initiatives with minimal downtime, integrating firewall and load-balancer infrastructure.

• Develop Disaster Recovery solutions and ensure resiliency for healthcare data centers.

• Execute ACI automation utilizing Terraform and Ansible.

• Spearhead Cisco SDA fabric deployment and manage Catalyst Center.

• Apply VXLAN/LISP underlay and overlay concepts.

• Deploy and supervise Fabric Edge and Border nodes.

• Integrate Cisco ISE for dynamic policy enforcement and SGTs.

• Design clinical network segmentation and support multi-campus healthcare deployments.

• Oversee wireless fabric integration as well as automated provisioning and assurance.

• Architect and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, including VXLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and switch stacking.

• Manage OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing.

• Design high-availability solutions utilizing HSRP, VRRP, StackWise, and MEC/vPC.

• Optimize QoS for voice, video, clinical systems, and VoIP/VoWiFi.

• Implement healthcare-specific network segmentation and security zoning.

• Conduct network automation and advanced troubleshooting using Catalyst Center, Ansible, APIs, CLI, telemetry, and packet analysis.

• Participate in proposal submissions, business alignment calls, client skills reviews, and technical assessments as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise in Cisco ACI fabric operations, APIC administration, and tenant/VRF/EPG management.

• Practical experience with Catalyst Center, fabric deployment, and VXLAN/LISP.

• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and high-availability protocols.

• Demonstrated history of migrating complex data center environments.

• Experience with clinical network segmentation, resiliency design, and optimization of clinical applications.

• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, or Python for network automation.

• Advanced capabilities in packet analysis, telemetry, and CLI-based diagnostics.

• Experience with Multi-Site/Multi-Pod ACI architecture (nice-to-have).

• Integration experience with firewalls and load-balancers, such as Palo Alto and F5 (nice-to-have).

• Knowledge in designing Disaster Recovery architectures (nice-to-have).

• Experience with wireless fabric integration within SDA (nice-to-have).

• Familiarity with dynamic policy enforcement using SGTs and ISE (nice-to-have).

• Experience with multi-campus healthcare deployments (nice-to-have).

• Understanding of QoS for real-time healthcare applications (nice-to-have).

• Network automation experience using Catalyst Center, Ansible, or APIs (nice-to-have).

• Ability to work within CET ± 2 hours.

• Completion of Castille Vetting background/compliance checks.
