Data Center Infrastructure Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop data center infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to guarantee the successful deployment of infrastructure.

• Plan layouts for data center floors, rack elevations, and conduct simulations.

• Organize cable deployments, specifying connection numbers and types, port assignments, activity scheduling, best practices, and point-to-point design.

• Implement and support NVIDIA products.

• Review and revise work instructions for data center operations.

• Contribute to the updates of data center standards.

• Manage multiple tasks and priorities while actively participating in project calls.

• Record processes and maintain event logs.

• Guide and supervise on-site work performed by partners and third-party vendors.

• Engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to assess, define, and execute large-scale data center initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a data center infrastructure engineer, field service engineer, or a similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing data center infrastructures.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data center environments, servers, and networking equipment.

• Significant experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center hardware.

• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities along with meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Skilled in documenting processes thoroughly.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Network certification such as CCIE is a standout qualification.

• Familiarity with InfiniBand technology is a standout qualification.

• Experience collaborating with R&D and network engineering teams is a standout qualification.
