Data Architect – Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Define and execute the data architecture, governance, standards, and best practices.

• Evaluate and estimate data solutions to meet business requirements.

• Lead the solution design for data projects in the role of Data Architect.

• Provide hands-on contributions when necessary.

• Ensure coherence with global architecture frameworks across various teams.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for cloud partners and internal stakeholders.

• Create proofs of concept to assess and validate emerging technologies.

• Keep abreast of data trends and engage in continuous learning.

• Design and implement scalable, end-to-end data architectures across SGS.

• Transform business requirements into robust, cloud-based solutions.

• Architect and execute batch and real-time data solutions.

• Collaborate with global stakeholders effectively.

• Promote the adoption of Azure, Snowflake, DBT, and Power BI data platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering solution and reference architectures.

• Proven track record in the complete delivery of data solutions.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English.

• Over 6 years of experience in Azure-based cloud/hybrid data and ML solutions.

• Strong expertise in data modeling (dimensional).

• Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, ADF, and Power BI.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

• Proficient in SQL and Python; C# knowledge is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps / GitHub.

• Proven leadership abilities and team coordination skills.

• Capability to manage both internal and external delivery teams.

• Strong skills in documentation and communication.
