Data Analyst – Fraud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Analyze fraudulent activities, assess their impact, and present findings that inform prioritization and response strategies.

• Develop and enhance rule-based mitigations, collaborating with fraud operations and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.

• Create and manage reporting tools and dashboards to track fraud trends, rule effectiveness, and critical operational metrics.

• Collaborate closely with fraud operations, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to ensure that analytical insights lead to actionable outcomes.

• Proactively detect emerging patterns and highlight risks before they escalate.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst (Fraud) or in a comparable position (4+ years, achievements may compensate for experience).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced SQL skills; capable of crafting complex queries to analyze and dissect data across extensive datasets.

• Background in fraud, risk management, or financial services; knowledgeable about the mechanics of fraud attacks and mitigation considerations.

• A self-motivated approach — you proactively investigate anomalies without waiting for direction.

• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and analysis.

• Proficient with a Business Intelligence tool (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, Redash, or other alternatives).

• Strong stakeholder management abilities; skilled in clearly communicating findings to fraud operations, product managers, engineers, and senior leadership, and influencing data-driven decisions.

• Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional teams where priorities may rapidly change.

• Proficient with spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other alternatives).

• Thrive in an autonomous and flat organizational structure: with millions of customers, every individual can significantly impact.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A strong desire to learn and master new technologies and methodologies.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with the following is a plus:

• Data governance.

• Proficiency in Python or any other scripting language.

• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
