This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver analytical data support through data extraction, transformation, and analysis utilizing Python, SQL, and various statistical and data engineering tools.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance ETL processes that facilitate data integration, validation, reporting, and analytics.
• Execute routine and advanced business analyses employing statistical techniques, data mining, and both explanatory and predictive modeling.
• Construct and implement analytical models and data solutions utilizing Python, Snowflake, Databricks, R, SQL, and SAS.
• Investigate industry best practices and contribute to data-driven solutions along with actionable insights.
• Write, debug, and optimize intricate SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data pipelines across relational and cloud-based data platforms.
• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, and quality assurance to maintain the accuracy and integrity of analytical datasets.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to gather analytical needs and provide ad hoc reports and data products.
• Analyze business data and convert findings into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work alongside business users, data engineers, and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and implement scalable data ingestion, transformation, and reporting solutions.
• Engage in team projects and brainstorming sessions to evaluate methodologies and study designs.
• Clearly communicate analytical methods and results to technical teams and end users.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and security of sensitive and business-critical information.
• Ensure adherence to relevant privacy and security training requirements.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in a health-related, scientific, or public policy/business field with extensive coursework in quantitative methods/statistics.
• At least 3 years of pertinent experience in data analytics, SQL development, ETL processes, reporting, business intelligence, or related data management functions.
• Strong expertise in Python, R, SQL, and SAS.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows in cloud environments like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or comparable platforms.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, views, and stored procedures; data validation and performance optimization; and support for data warehousing, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
• Understanding of intermediate data analysis techniques, including data profiling, trend analysis, statistical methods, and data quality assessment.
• Proficient in effective written and oral communication, presenting results in concise, non-technical language to diverse audiences.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with team members and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to make sound judgments and decisions independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines.
• Initiative-driven while maintaining confidentiality, meeting deadlines, and contributing within a team environment.
• Timely reporting of work activities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while adhering to deadlines.
• Must pass post-hire background screening checks.
