This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of data analysis, which includes validating and visualizing information from electronic health records and various other sources.
• Improve current analysis processes and create new reporting capabilities.
• Assess the performance and quality of analytic products to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Create, sustain, and oversee dashboards for both internal and external users, aimed at policy evaluation and implementation, quality enhancement, service insights, and financial management.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical personnel to comprehend reporting requirements and identify appropriate products.
• Establish and maintain standardized data queries and visualizations while integrating user feedback.
• Implement, support, and sustain data extraction, transformation, and loading processes into data visualization products.
• Generate reports and visualizations for stakeholders to facilitate fact-based and trend-driven decision-making.
• Formulate benchmarks for county plans to assess anticipated behaviors for both internal and external metrics.
• Enhance data monitoring and validation processes to guarantee data quality and completeness.
• Maintain a shared repository of reusable work assets.
• Aid in the exploration of migrating data queries, reports, and pipelines to platforms like Databricks.
• Access confidential county records, employee demographic data, and private behavioral health information responsibly while safeguarding system integrity and security.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, data science, computer science, or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience in Healthcare Dashboard Visualization/Data Informatics/Analytics, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using dashboarding tools such as Power BI.
• Capability to interpret data and analyze results employing statistical techniques and coding languages.
• Experience in developing data analysis visualizations and supporting data linkages.
• Skill in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns within data sets.
• Background in data modeling and database development and management.
• Familiarity with graphic and visualization tools.
• Intermediate to advanced expertise in MS Power BI and ArcGIS Pro is preferred.
• Experience with data automation, analysis, and visualization tools.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, R or Python, and SQL is preferred.
• Experience with Databricks is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and management capabilities.
• Ability to recognize and manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
• Capacity to work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, multitask, and adjust to varying workloads.
• Must be able to frequently sit and stand, use a phone/headset, type, write, operate a calculator, lift and carry materials weighing up to 10 pounds, read computer screens, communicate via telephone and in person, and drive a motor vehicle on public roads and highways.
• Ability to function under deadline pressure and interact with a diverse range of individuals.
• Extended periods of computer use and intense focus are required.
• Full-time staff position.
• Standard business hours as per CalMHSA, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (schedule may vary based on business requirements).
