Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Examine intricate scientific datasets to reveal insights and aid strategic initiatives

• Outline business process rules to ensure data solutions are in harmony with operational realities

• Develop insight-driven solutions that enhance visibility into essential KPIs and performance metrics

• Execute thorough analyses and present evidence-based recommendations

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ascertain requirements for existing and upcoming products

• Facilitate requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing for new data, products, and analytical solutions

• Evaluate business processes and create business flow and data flow diagrams

• Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and business teams

• Conduct data profiling, mining, and validation/testing

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and deliver results in a clear manner

• Establish strong business relationships and foster collaborative partnerships

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science is advantageous

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Proficient in comprehending complex datasets with a keen attention to detail

• Skilled at translating requirements into clearly articulated user stories

• Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners

• Capable of identifying critical areas for in-depth analysis and supporting effective solutions

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology sector is a plus

• Must reside in Canada

• At least 5 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries, data mining, data profiling, and data validation/testing

• Minimum of 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst specializing in Data & Analytics, ideally in a senior or lead position

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience organizing and managing User Acceptance Testing cycles and training with business users and stakeholders

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy

• Experience in Agile Software Development Methodology
