Cybersecurity Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead cybersecurity projects throughout their entire lifecycle, including intake, shaping, initiation, planning, execution, security assurance, deployment, operational handover, closure, and realization of benefits.

• Create and uphold integrated delivery baselines that encompass scope, milestone roadmaps, work breakdown structures, dependencies, capacity/resource forecasting, costs, procurement, and quality gates.

• Develop governance frameworks with defined accountabilities, decision rights, stage-gate reviews, and reporting schedules that align with enterprise and Group Cybersecurity standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different global time zones, involving IT engineering, SOC/operations, enterprise architecture, procurement, legal, regional leadership, and external vendors.

• Maintain RAID, dependency, decision, and change registers with designated owners, timelines, and timely escalations.

• Oversee project budgets, purchase orders, forecasting, and supplier performance within assigned authority; confirm deliverables and acceptance evidence prior to milestone approvals.

• Integrate security assurance activities such as architecture reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability testing, remediation verification, privacy assessments, audit trail gathering, and residual-risk approvals.

• Supervise deployment, cutover, rollback, and hypercare plans, ensuring a seamless transition to operational teams with comprehensive service handover documentation.

• Generate project initiation documents, project charters, integrated project plans, milestone schedules, resource forecasts, budget trackers, stakeholder engagement plans, governance calendars, security assurance documentation, transition packages, closure reports, post-implementation reviews, and benefits realization trackers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading complex, multi-million or enterprise-level technology and cybersecurity transformation projects.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex matrix organizations, coordinating global business units, IT engineering, corporate security functions, and third-party system integrators.

• Strong hands-on experience in integrating security controls, compliance checkpoints, vulnerability remediation, and architecture reviews into project lifecycles.

• Established background in operational readiness testing, service transition (aligned with ITIL), and execution of cutover/hypercare activities.

• Documented delivery expertise in one or more cybersecurity areas, including IAM, IGA, PAM, MFA, SSO, Active Directory security, SecOps, SIEM, SOC integration, logging, incident response preparedness, vulnerability management, exposure management, external attack-surface reduction, cloud security, application security, API security, secure SDLC, network security, infrastructure, endpoint protection, PKI, digital certificate lifecycle management, data protection, information classification, cryptography, privacy compliance, cyber resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, OT, IoT, logistics-site/industrial facility security, supply chain risk, third-party cyber risk management, and M&A integration.

• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and ITIL.

• Exceptional presentation, executive communication, and consensus-building abilities.

• Capacity to support distributed teams across global time zones, including critical workshops, stage-gate reviews, and deployment phases.

• Pragmatic and structured mindset with a keen attention to detail when managing sensitive and confidential security information.

• Recognized project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred.

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
