Cybersecurity Manager – Enterprise Authentication Security Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of authentication security engineers.

• Oversee engineering and Level 3 operations for enterprise SSO platforms.

• Propel infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and frequent low-risk releases.

• Design and manage secure, available, and scalable cloud authentication services.

• Collaborate with security architecture, infrastructure, application, and compliance teams.

• Convert OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML standards into secure, reusable solutions.

• Handle incidents and perform blameless post-incident reviews.

• Communicate status, risks, and strategy to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Work with cross-functional teams to minimize vulnerabilities, risks, and incident impact.

• Drive solution delivery and oversee strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

• 8+ years of professional experience.

• At least 2 years of prior leadership experience is preferred.

• Practical experience in implementing and managing enterprise single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous release environments, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment.

• Proficient understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and secure, resilient services.

• Software development experience along with the ability to read and review code.

• Experience in leading engineers or technical teams.

• Strong grasp of authentication and authorization protocols as well as security fundamentals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven history of managing large-scale transformations, including stakeholder alignment, phased rollout, and change management.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with PingFederate; SRE practices; workload and non-human identity authentication; platform engineering; offline authentication; identity verification.
