This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assess the accuracy, completeness, and quality of cybersecurity-related deliverables.
• Evaluate security analyses, recommendations, risks, controls, responsibilities, and compliance strategies.
• Analyze information security, technology risk, organizational controls, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Review technology risk assessments, risk prioritization, impacts, rationale, and suggested risk responses.
• Examine IT audit documentation, findings, supporting evidence, control observations, deficiencies, and remediation suggestions.
• Evaluate spreadsheets and analyses, including calculations, assumptions, risk metrics, and both quantitative and qualitative analyses, along with supporting information.
• Review cybersecurity reports, GRC documents, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy, completeness, logical structure, clarity, and professional quality.
• Analyze charts, tables, and visuals for accurate depiction of underlying data.
• Provide structured written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and identified issues.
• Consistently apply domain-specific evaluation standards across cybersecurity and IT GRC deliverables.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, IT GRC, information security, IT risk, IT audit, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience as a GRC Analyst, IT Risk Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst, Information Security Analyst, IT Auditor, or in a similar role.
• Strong practical knowledge of cybersecurity and IT governance, risk, and compliance.
• Experience in developing or reviewing security assessments, risk analyses, control documentation, audit materials, or similar deliverables.
• Capability to evaluate cybersecurity and GRC recommendations for accuracy, risk relevance, and practical applicability.
• Strong analytical judgment with meticulous attention to detail in security, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Exceptional spreadsheet and analytical capabilities.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to provide precise, structured feedback.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
