Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform assessments of application and cloud security to pinpoint risks and vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with security and development teams to embed security testing within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Assist in vulnerability management and prioritize identified findings.

• Aid in developing cloud security architecture that adheres to industry standards and best practices.

• Execute security assessments and contribute to threat modeling efforts.

• Support penetration testing, remediation efforts, and the implementation of security controls.

• Maintain comprehensive security documentation and reporting.

• Assist with incident response and investigate application security incidents.

• Advocate for security awareness and the establishment of security best practices among cross-functional teams.

• Conduct training sessions on security best practices, phishing prevention, and social engineering awareness.

• Enhance security tools, dashboards, and monitoring resources to bolster product security.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in application security with a focus on AWS.

• Practical experience in designing secure infrastructure solutions for both AWS and on-premises applications.

• Proficient in GitHub Advanced Security, SAST, and DAST.

• Experience in training and providing educational resources to enhance security maturity.

• Familiarity with application security automation and integrating security processes into CI/CD pipelines.

• Expertise in conducting technical assessments, threat modeling, and cloud security architecture.

• Knowledge of software security best practices, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and remediation strategies.

• Skilled in investigating and managing application security incidents in both AWS and on-prem environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

• Ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
