This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Safeguard customer data and information systems from unauthorized access, alterations, or destruction.
• Implement, configure, enhance, and manage dedicated LogRhythm systems.
• Develop and secure Avertium's internal cloud environments for multi-tenant distributed LogRhythm deployments.
• Create and oversee Security Groups, EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and S3 buckets.
• Maintain managed SIEM SQL and Elasticsearch databases in accordance with industry best practices.
• Act as a technical escalation point for other Avertium SIEM engineers.
• Produce internal documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Assist in forecasting the continuous growth of SIEM deployments and facilitate the establishment of new deployments.
• Minimum of five years of overall IT experience, with at least two years specifically in a Cyber Security Engineering role.
• Five years of experience in technical troubleshooting and advanced problem-solving.
• Fundamental understanding of Cloud Security best practices for both Azure and AWS.
• Proficient in Elastic Search and SQL, including SQL Studio, specifically in writing queries for searches, maintenance, and migration.
• Over two years of experience in supporting and managing distributed LogRhythm deployments.
• Expert-level knowledge of LogRhythm SIEM Components.
• Basic understanding of LogRhythm detections and the supporting mechanisms.
• Strong background in automation using one or more of the following: Powershell, SQL, Bash, or Python.
• Experience in Network Administration, including IPSEC Tunnel Troubleshooting and VPN creation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience in information security (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating system administration (preferred).
• Familiarity with SRE practices and principles (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and conveying findings (preferred).
• Understanding of standard CAB request, approval, and fulfillment best practices (preferred).
• Technical/professional security certifications such as LRPA, LRCA, LRSE, LRDE, CCNP, SANS GIAC, or vendor-specific (preferred).
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework (preferred).
