Cybersecurity Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute comprehensive information security strategies that align with the goals of the organization.

• Perform security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to uncover potential threats and weaknesses.

• Create, implement, and uphold security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Oversee, investigate, and respond to security incidents and potential data breaches.

• Ensure adherence to NIST CSF, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 compliance standards.

• Offer security guidance, recommendations, and training to employees and relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to incorporate security measures throughout organizational systems and operations.

• Evaluate and update security protocols, controls, and systems to mitigate emerging threats.

• Monitor and report on security metrics, providing suggestions for ongoing improvement.

• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and advancing security technologies.

• Manage client engagements and deliver technical guidance throughout security initiatives.

• Mentor and assist junior team members, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• At least 10 years of experience in information security, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.

• In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, and industry standards.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.

• Experience with cloud security, network security, and endpoint protection.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities, and effectively contribute within a collaborative team environment.
