Cyber Security Analyst – Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support vulnerability assessments, analyze results, and assist in remediation efforts.

• Engage in the implementation of the data loss prevention roadmap.

• Research, propose, and facilitate improvements to information security processes.

• Explore automated techniques for enforcing security measures on devices and identities.

• Create and revise security policies, procedures, and materials for security awareness.

• Contribute to activities and strategic planning aimed at addressing emerging security threats and improving S&C’s cyber defense posture.

• Work collaboratively with internal technical support teams on cyber events, assessments, and internal initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university/college, focusing on Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity terminology, processes, and tools is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CySA are advantageous.
