This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the designated Specialist for assigned Canadian Payroll Tax clients, fostering and maintaining continuous customer relationships through regular communication.
• Oversee and address customer cases on a daily basis within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring accurate documentation and prompt resolution.
• Handle payroll tax submissions and annual processes for T4, T4A, Releve 1 and 2, as well as any necessary amendments.
• Provide support to customers via telephone and facilitate customer calls as required.
• Address escalated cases from internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customer team partners to fulfill customer requests and ensure consistent service delivery.
• Uphold accuracy and timeliness of SLAs, achieve quality and production scorecard objectives, and adhere to security measures to protect sensitive customer information.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Canadian payroll or payroll tax, involving research, problem-solving, and employee/customer assistance.
• Proven knowledge of Canadian multi-jurisdiction payroll tax, including CRA and Revenu Quebec remittances, CPP/QPP, EI, QPIP, as well as year-end T4, T4A, and Releve 1 & 2 procedures.
• Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Comfortable with phone-based customer interactions, including leading customer calls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Teams, and Excel, including pivot tables.
• Preferred: Experience with Workday Payroll or Workday Tax.
• Preferred: PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) or PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) certification from the National Payroll Institute.
• Preferred: Experience in an outsourcing or shared services setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar case management systems.
• Preferred: Bilingual communication skills in French and English.
• Preferred: An Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
