This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within a call center setting.
• Handle and address telephone inquiries from policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and other stakeholders.
• Offer information and support related to Medicare Supplement and Life Policies.
• Respond to insurance inquiries, including benefit verification and claims status updates.
• Access and modify data in the software system in accordance with company response standards.
• Investigate company records to gather the requested information.
• Conduct routine transactions and obtain results from an online terminal.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
• Adhere to company policies regarding privacy, confidentiality, and private health information.
• Communicate the status and resolution of inquiries both in writing and verbally.
• Initiate and complete Call Tracks, checklists, and associated clerical duties.
• Work various shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with team members while working remotely and independently.
• High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
• At least six months of relevant call center experience and/or training.
• Capability to type 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug tests before and after hiring, including THC screening.
• Verification of high school, GED, or college diploma upon request.
• Timely responses required from three professional references.
• A dedicated remote work environment that is free from background noise, interruptions, and clutter.
• Reliable and consistent internet connection.
• Access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication purposes.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Accurate data entry skills in a Windows-based environment.
• Basic knowledge of math, English spelling, and grammar.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Capable of writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including calculations of rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Aptitude for applying common-sense reasoning to detailed written or oral instructions.
• Competence in addressing problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phone line.
• Capable of reading, hearing, speaking, using a keyboard, reasoning, and problem-solving.
• Proficient with office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, and copiers.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
• Preferred: Experience with Long Term Care Insurance in a call center environment.
• Preferred: Two years of related call center and customer service experience.
