This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within a call center setting, focusing on receiving and addressing telephone inquiries.
• Address inquiries from policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and other clients associated with CHCS concerning Medicare Supplement and Life Policies.
• Provide detailed information regarding insurance queries, including benefit verification and claims status.
• Access and modify data in the software system in accordance with company response standards.
• Investigate company records to retrieve the requested information.
• Conduct routine transactions and obtain results from an online terminal.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products and services.
• Adhere to company regulations concerning privacy, confidentiality, and private health information.
• Communicate both in writing and verbally about the status and resolution of inquiries.
• Initiate and finalize Call Tracks, checklists, and necessary clerical support tasks.
• High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required.
• A minimum of six months of relevant call center experience and/or training is preferred.
• Flexibility and ability to work various shifts as needed.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with a 95% accuracy rate.
• Must pass background screenings and drug tests pre- and post-employment, including THC.
• Verification of high school diploma, GED, or college degree available upon request.
• Timely provision of responses from three professional references.
• A dedicated remote work environment free from background noise, interruptions, and clutter is essential.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication.
• A collaborative team-oriented mindset.
• Accountability and the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Proficient in data entry within a Windows-based environment.
• Intermediate computer skills are necessary.
• Understanding of basic math and proficiency in English spelling and grammar are required.
• Capability to read and comprehend simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Skill in addressing problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Physical capability to sit for extended periods, utilize a computer and phone line, and occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to read, hear, speak, use a keyboard, reason, and solve problems.
• Proficiency in using office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, and copiers.
