This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for the Customer Service Call Center concerning physician billing for various clients.
• Manage a high volume of calls while ensuring excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Follow up on unresolved issues discussed with patients or guarantors during calls.
• Perform additional customer service tasks as assigned.
• Act as the primary point of contact for patients’ billing inquiries.
• Assist patients with sensitive and confidential billing matters.
• Aid in the collection of outstanding patient balances for clients.
• Respond to patient calls in accordance with call center performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow call center phone procedures diligently.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical customer service role is preferred.
• Prior experience in a call center environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
• Experience with medical billing systems is essential.
• Familiarity with GE Centricity or EPIC is a plus.
• Capability to manage sensitive and confidential issues effectively.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately with client information.
• Respond to patient calls in line with call center performance objectives.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to the designated work schedule and call center phone protocols.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Must be able to work seated, utilize a computer, and answer telephone calls.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Ability to navigate through hospital departments across expansive campus settings, including Emergency Department areas.
• Required vaccinations and screenings may include COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations, as applicable and permitted by law.
• The position may qualify for a signing bonus for eligible new hires, based on employment status.
