This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a call center setting, primarily addressing telephone inquiries.
• Assist policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and other customers with information related to insurance policies.
• Respond to inquiries from CHCS third-party administrator clients, including those concerning Medicare Supplement and Life Policies.
• Provide details regarding insurance inquiries, including benefit verifications and claims status updates.
• Access and modify data within the company software system in accordance with response standards.
• Research company records to effectively answer customer queries.
• Conduct routine transactions and obtain results from an online terminal.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
• Adhere to company regulations concerning privacy, confidentiality, and private health information.
• Communicate written and verbal updates regarding the status and resolution of inquiries.
• Initiate and complete Call Tracks, checklists, and associated clerical duties.
• Work both independently and collaboratively while working remotely.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Six months of relevant call center experience and/or training is preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
• Ability to successfully pass background screenings and drug tests prior to and post-hire, including THC.
• Verification of high school diploma, GED, or college degree may be required upon request.
• Prompt responses from three professional references are required.
• A dedicated remote work environment free from distractions, background noise, and clutter is essential.
• A reliable internet connection and access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication are necessary.
• A collaborative team spirit is important.
• Capability to work remotely and independently.
• Proficiency in accurately entering data in a Windows-based environment.
• Intermediate level of computer skills is required.
• Basic skills in math, English spelling, and grammar are necessary.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; calculating rates, ratios, and percentages; and interpreting bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions and standardized problems.
• Capability to sit for extended periods while using computers and phones.
• Ability to read, hear, speak, operate a keyboard, reason, and solve problems.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, and copiers is necessary.
• Must meet physical requirements, including the occasional lifting or moving of up to 15 pounds.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
• Preferred: Experience in Long Term Care Insurance within a call center environment.
• Preferred: Two years of related experience in call centers and customer service.
