This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within a call center setting.
• Answer and address telephone inquiries from policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and other stakeholders.
• Offer information and support related to Medicare Supplement and Life Policies for clients of CHCS third-party administration.
• Verify benefits and provide updates on claims status by accessing and modifying data within the software system.
• Investigate company records to resolve customer inquiries.
• Execute routine transactions and obtain results from an online terminal.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company’s products and services.
• Adhere to regulations concerning privacy, confidentiality, and protected health information.
• Communicate written and verbal updates regarding the status and resolution of inquiries.
• Initiate and finalize Call Tracks, checklists, and related clerical tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED).
• At least six months of relevant call center experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in typing at a speed of 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to work various shifts as needed.
• Must successfully pass background checks and drug screenings pre- and post-hire, including THC testing.
• Verification of high school diploma, GED, or college degree may be requested.
• Prompt responses from three professional references required.
• Must have a dedicated remote work environment that is free from background noise, interruptions, and clutter.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication purposes are essential.
• Proficient in accurately entering data in a Windows-based environment.
• Intermediate level computer skills required.
• Basic knowledge of math, English spelling, and grammar is necessary.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
• Skill in writing simple correspondence.
• Capability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group settings.
• Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.
• Capacity to apply common-sense reasoning to detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to handle problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phone.
• Capability to read, hear, speak, utilize a keyboard, reason, and solve problems.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
• An Associate’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with Long Term Care Insurance in a call center environment is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant call center and customer service experience is preferred.
