Curriculum & Learning Design Associate – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Prepare and format instructional materials for publication, ensuring alignment with templates, branding, and design standards.

• Edit and proofread materials to ensure grammatical correctness, clarity, accuracy, and usability.

• Assist instructional designers and curriculum leads in the creation and revision of curriculum resources.

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of curriculum materials and LMS courses prior to their release, ensuring adherence to WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines.

• Develop, format, update, and transition courses across various LMS platforms, including Canvas, Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, Schoology, and Google Classroom.

• Keep curriculum files organized, monitor version updates, and aid in distribution to partners.

• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), designers, and product teams to advance curriculum through development, QA, and release phases.

• Consistently incorporate feedback across all applicable materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with experience in education, instructional design, curriculum development, educational technology, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in developing, editing, formatting, or implementing instructional materials.

• Familiarity with one or more Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Blackboard, Schoology, or Google Classroom.

• Excellent writing, editing, and formatting abilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards or a willingness to gain expertise in this area.

• Strong organizational skills and asset management capabilities across various projects and priorities.

• Ability to learn new technologies comfortably in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
