Credentialing Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer administrative and clerical assistance to the Credentialing team.

• Oversee documentation and ensure compliance and verification processes are followed.

• Aid in managing both pending and active Clinician files.

• Administer CE Direct accounts and establish Clinician accounts as required.

• Enter, process, and renew registrations for the National Practitioner Data Bank.

• Assist Clinicians in completing I-9 forms and visually verify supporting documents.

• Conduct E-Verify for new hires and re-verification for returning employees.

• Track expiring items and provide daily updates on their status.

• Flag at-risk issues that may affect Clinician assignments.

• Deliver weekly reports on expiring compliance items.

• Manage and collect compliance requirements that are due for renewal.

• Review state rosters monthly and remove Clinicians as necessary.

• Complete monthly reporting for IDFPR.

• Enter and maintain Clinicians in the E-notify/Nursys roster.

• Perform SSN verifications through SSA as required.

• Review and process reimbursements in accordance with guidelines.

• Participate in at least one cross-training session per year.

• Float to various business lines based on organizational needs.

• Collaborate closely with the Credentialing team, Clients, and Clinicians.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Quick learner of new systems.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment while maintaining urgency.

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.

• Acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with occupational health compliance is preferred.
