This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generates innovative ideas and concepts across various communication platforms, from initial conception to final execution.
• Creates and suggests creative solutions that align with communication strategies and client objectives.
• Composes and refines content for emails, websites, print materials, fundraising efforts, marketing, technical documentation, and creative communications.
• Writes in accordance with Compassion’s brand style, voice, standards, and messaging guidelines.
• Develops naming and headline ideas.
• Writes for diverse audiences and age groups, including both adults and children.
• Collaborates as part of a team of writers and designers alongside marketing strategists.
• Manages and delivers multiple projects concurrently.
• Creates innovative projects based on project briefs to promote and enhance Compassion’s mission.
• Produces effective, results-driven, brand-enhancing creative solutions aimed at engaging and expanding the current supporter base.
• Acts as Managing Editor for the Compassion Explorer children’s magazine.
• Takes ownership of and contributes to ongoing supporter communications, fundraising campaigns, child sponsorship communications, digital content, and various creative initiatives.
• May provide coaching and expertise to other creative professionals and support staff.
• Advocates for children and prioritizes child protection in decision-making processes and activities.
• Only applicants with attached portfolios or samples will be considered.
• Approximately 7 years of professional experience in writing, copywriting, content marketing, editorial work, or communications.
• Demonstrated ability to write across various content types and communication channels.
• Strong storytelling, editing, and content development skills, with a commitment to quality and brand consistency.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with writers, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders.
• Preferred knowledge of international development, child sponsorship, or global ministry contexts.
• Experience with Workfront, Adobe InCopy, or similar content management systems is advantageous.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Consistently exhibits a witness for Jesus Christ and a courteous, Christ-like demeanor.
• Faithfully supports Compassion’s ministry through prayer.
• Adheres to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• Reports any concerns regarding child abuse, neglect, or exploitation through Compassion’s internal reporting procedures.
