Crane Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment as directed by the Chief Engineer or their delegate.

• Ensure operations aboard DOF vessels are conducted safely and efficiently.

• Engage with Subsea, Anchor Handling Tug Supply, and Platform Supply Vessels within the oil and gas sector.

• Provide support for offshore vessel operations in Australian waters, with occasional international assignments.

• Play a vital role in delivering safe and dependable integrated marine and subsea services for the global offshore energy industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of the technical standards related to lifting appliances and maintenance programs, including Wire Re-socketing, G5 Theory, G11 Banksman Slinger, and Fault-finding training.

• Demonstrated experience in Subsea projects or within the Offshore Oil & Gas sector.

• Certification as a Marine Engineer (STCW III/2) and experience on vessels equipped with Subsea AHC cranes is preferred.

• Valid AMSA/Norwegian/other Offshore Industry Standard Medical certification.

• Current BOSIET-CAEBS certification or the ability to obtain it; this certification is advantageous.

• Current MISC or the capacity to acquire one.
