Cost Segregation Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive cost segregation reports, which involve preliminary research, file assessments, and verification of engagement agreements.

• Perform thorough site inspections, documenting both assets and common areas.

• Input building assets into spreadsheets, draft property descriptions, and generate complete reports using Word.

• Collaborate with management to verify report accuracy and maintain communication with clients.

• Gather data on client properties, conduct on-site evaluations, and execute multi-step assessment processes.

• Maintain proactive and clear communication with the sales team and clients, promptly addressing any issues.

• Tackle unique project challenges while ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Engage in staff meetings, technical discussions, and training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a four-year degree in engineering or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Skill in classifying building utility system components based on their usage within the facility.

• Knowledge of utilizing industry-standard cost estimation resources to assess the costs of building and site components.

• A client-centric approach that delivers timely, high-quality service that meets or surpasses expectations.

• Fluent in English.

• Located in Latin America.

• Previous experience in cost segregation, tax consulting, or a similar technical domain is advantageous.

• Interest in a personalized, hands-on approach to tax consulting is a plus.

• Experience in conducting site visits and documenting properties is a plus.
