This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide expert guidance to clients on procurement strategies, vendor prequalification, bid evaluations, bid leveling, contractor selection, and contract awards.
• Oversee estimating services throughout the project lifecycle, including cost estimates, pricing validation, benchmark analyses, quantity takeoffs, value engineering opportunities, and risk assessments.
• Evaluate contractor, consultant, and vendor proposals for completeness of scope, accuracy of pricing, and alignment with project goals.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.
• Create and maintain commercial risk registers and assist in identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risks.
• Supervise cost control processes, including payment applications, change orders, contractor entitlements, and client recommendations.
• Assist with contract administration, dispute avoidance, resolution of commercial issues, and maintenance of project cost records.
• Track project invoicing and financial reporting.
• Benchmark cost and performance data across various projects.
• Handle final account negotiations, project closeout, post-contract audits, and cost reconciliations.
• Conduct lessons learned reviews and promote best practices, processes, and training materials.
• Maintain project documentation utilizing cost estimating, takeoff, and cost management software.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field in construction.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, estimating, or commercial management within the construction sector.
• Experience in supporting construction, renovation, tenant improvement, retail, commercial, corporate real estate, financial services, healthcare, higher education, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
• Proven track record in preparing estimates, managing project costs, evaluating change orders, and administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preferred experience in construction consultancy, owner's representation, project management, or contractor-side cost management.
• Knowledge of construction procurement methods, cost planning, value engineering, and commercial risk management.
• Familiarity with cost estimating and takeoff software, cost reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward achieving it is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication abilities.
