This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute comprehensive corporate tax exercises utilizing realistic mock materials.
• Generate high-quality deliverables in areas such as tax provision, compliance, international taxation, transfer pricing, and transaction tax.
• Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions, encompassing current and deferred tax calculations along with effective tax rate reconciliations.
• Complete corporate tax returns and supporting documentation addressing federal taxation, state taxation and apportionment, and international tax systems.
• Anticipate cash tax obligations across applicable jurisdictions.
• Conduct technical tax calculations and analyses, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Pillar Two, Section 163(j) limitations, net operating losses, and other tax attributes.
• Prepare and assess transfer pricing documentation, which includes master files, local files, intercompany agreements, and associated tax policies.
• Carry out transaction tax analysis, involving tax due diligence, identification of tax exposure and attributes, deal structuring, tax structuring memorandums, documented tax positions, and FIN 48/uncertain tax position evaluations.
• Recognize technical issues, inconsistencies, and potential tax risks utilizing professional tax judgment.
• Create clear, well-supported workpapers and recommendations that adhere to professional corporate tax standards.
• Complete practical assessment exercises that involve ASC 740 provisions, transfer pricing benchmarking, and transaction tax structuring.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in corporate income tax, whether in-house or at a prominent accounting/advisory firm.
• Robust practical knowledge of corporate taxation and associated financial reporting obligations.
• Proven expertise in tax provision and compliance, international taxation, and transfer pricing, or M&A and transaction tax.
• Capability to independently analyze intricate tax information and deliver precise, well-documented outputs.
• Excellent written communication skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical tax positions, calculations, assumptions, and conclusions.
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• A JD or LLM in Taxation is considered a plus.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is an added advantage.
• CTA or an equivalent international tax qualification is a plus.
• Familiarity with tax equity and HLBV modeling is favorable.
• Experience in supporting complex corporate transactions or multinational tax frameworks is desirable.
• Previous involvement with AI training, evaluation, or structured human-data projects is beneficial.
• Experience primarily focused on individual tax returns, payroll tax, or sales/use tax falls outside the scope.
• H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not currently supported.
• Payments are issued weekly based on services rendered through available payment platforms.
• Project timelines may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on requirements and performance.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
