This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Develop financial forecasts for banking license and payment institution / EMI applications, encompassing P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity.
• Manage funds and regulatory capital planning, including requirements, headroom, and growth/stress behavior.
• Model safeguarding and payment buffers across regulated entities.
• Assist legal, compliance, and regulatory teams during application and Q&A phases.
• Justify assumptions and revise projections within set deadlines.
• Align license and capital models with the company’s financial model and actual performance.
• Create business cases and investment proposals for new markets, products, and initiatives.
• Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses for the CEO, CFO, and Supervisory Board.
• Evaluate profitability and unit economics across product, segment, and market levels.
• Compile materials for board meetings and investors.
• Facilitate fundraising efforts through model preparation, due diligence responses, and answering investor inquiries.
• Contribute to M&A workstreams, including valuation, structuring analysis, and due diligence.
• Collaborate with selected functions on planning, cost, and investment decisions.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses.
• Work directly with the VP of Finance as the fourth member of the senior Corporate Finance team.
• Minimum of 4 years in corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modeling, transaction services, or the finance function of a bank or fintech.
• Experience in building or significantly maintaining complex financial models for a bank, fintech, or financial institution.
• Knowledge of regulatory financial models, including license applications, capital planning, ICAAP/ILAAP, or regulatory reporting.
• Outstanding Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of the three financial statements and their interconnections.
• Familiarity with banking or fintech economics, including interchange, net interest income, funding, and capital.
• High attention to detail.
• Structured thinking and a sense of ownership.
• Capable of working independently with the CFO, CEO, and board-level stakeholders.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python is preferred.
• Practical experience with AI tools (LLMs, copilots) is preferred.
• Background in treasury, capital management, or regulatory reporting is preferred.
• Experience in a firm seeking or holding a banking license is preferred.
• Background in Big Four, investment banking, or consulting followed by an in-house fintech role is preferred.
