Corporate Compliance and Ethics Expert – Director, Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create insightful and impactful research for publication focused on corporate compliance and ethics.

• Provide essential insights into executive-level priorities for global enterprises.

• Facilitate client discussions and offer guidance on intricate compliance issues.

• Investigate the transformation and optimization of compliance functions.

• Assess the effects of evolving regulatory frameworks on business models and processes.

• Formulate risk strategies and frameworks for managing compliance and regulatory risks.

• Utilize data analytics to enhance compliance risk assessments and monitoring activities.

• Produce informative and actionable research tailored for Chief Compliance Officers.

• Keep abreast of advancements in compliance programs and their associated ecosystems.

• Collaborate with internal specialists and learn from the best practices of clients.

• Thoughtfully respond to media inquiries when necessary.

• Interact with clients regularly via phone, video calls, and occasionally present at Gartner events.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles.

• Most recently held a position as a deputy or divisional chief compliance officer or senior compliance leader.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in economics, business, or international studies) or equivalent experience.

• Experience providing advice to leadership teams, boards of directors, or designated committees on compliance priorities.

• Proficient in integrating quantitative and qualitative data into executive-ready narratives and recommendations.

• Collaborative experience across functions such as Legal, ERM, Finance, or Internal Audit.

• Proven experience in conducting compliance risk assessments and generating reports.

• Background in monitoring and analyzing new regulatory changes.

• Experience in supporting corporate governance initiatives.

• Skilled in designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise compliance frameworks, including policies and procedures, training, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong executive presence and capability to build credibility with executives and stakeholders.

• Ability to navigate and excel in a complex, matrixed work environment.

• Willingness to offer flexible working hours, within reason, to cater to Gartner’s global client base.

• Capacity for occasional travel for team offsites and Gartner conferences (less than 10% of the year).
