Core Network Architect – Advisor, Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Assess and provide insights on mobile core network architecture, covering packet core, roaming, signaling, and associated telecommunications systems

• Assist engineers in navigating intricate telco challenges, diagnosing architectural issues, and assessing potential solutions

• Offer guidance on build-versus-buy choices, open-source versus commercial options, infrastructure decisions, and architectural trade-offs

• Deliver technical expertise for vendor assessments, mobile network operator integrations, and telecom interoperability

• Recognize architectural vulnerabilities, scalability issues, reliability challenges, and integration obstacles

• Disseminate knowledge on telecommunications standards, established industry practices, and emerging technologies

• Act as a technical advisor and simplify complex telecommunications concepts into actionable recommendations

• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and the core network team in both advisory and potentially hands-on roles

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust professional experience in mobile core network architecture and engineering

• Practical experience in designing, deploying, and managing mobile core networks within production settings

• Comprehensive understanding of 4G/LTE EPC and 5G Core technologies, components, and their interactions

• Applied knowledge of mobile network integrations, signaling, roaming, and connectivity infrastructure

• Capability to assess architectural strategies, articulate trade-offs, and offer practical recommendations

• Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams in a consultative role rather than a managerial one

• Experience with MVNO, MVNE, or international roaming architectures

• Familiarity with IMS, VoLTE, VoNR, or other voice and messaging technologies

• Knowledge of eSIM technologies and remote SIM provisioning

• Experience with cloud-native telecommunications infrastructure, virtualization, or Kubernetes
