This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Conduct thorough final reviews of creative outputs, including marketing materials, web content, social media posts, email campaigns, presentations, and additional deliverables.
• Evaluate materials using Workfront, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and other necessary software.
• Identify and rectify errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
• Uphold the company’s internal style guide and brand voice, as well as adhere to external style guides like AP and the American Chemical Society.
• Ensure consistency in dates, names, terminology, formatting, and overall style across materials.
• Collaborate with designers to assess visual layouts and typography.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to members of the creative team.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines effectively.
• Work alongside writers, designers, project managers, and the digital marketing team to develop integrated creative solutions.
• Respond promptly in Workfront, Teams, and Outlook within expected timeframes.
• Participate in team meetings, town halls, one-on-ones, project kickoffs, and specific project meetings.
• Assist in brand messaging, content development processes, audience engagement strategies, and marketing communication projects.
• Collaborate with both internal and external business partners to preserve brand voice and maintain editorial standards.
• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in proofreading, copy editing, or editorial work.
• Required experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or biopharmaceutical sectors.
• A portfolio showcasing writing and editing skills is necessary.
• Strong command of the English language, encompassing grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of standard style guides is expected.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Workfront, and Acrobat.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in healthcare and life sciences communications is essential.
• Strong understanding of AP and/or AMA Style is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; other educational backgrounds with relevant professional editing/proofreading experience will be considered.
• Experience in an agency or corporate marketing communications setting is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including non-native English speakers and across various time zones.
• Capability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience and interest in utilizing AI tools for problem-solving and enhancing workload efficiency is a plus.
