This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Develop, support, and enhance communications for ASCP BOC operations and stakeholders.
β’ Create, assess, and manage content for the ASCP BOC website, social media platforms, email, newsletters, and other materials.
β’ Act as the primary custodian of written, visual, and multimedia communication standards.
β’ Perform editorial reviews and ensure content quality for both internal and external communications.
β’ Examine credentialing examination questions for grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, and formatting.
β’ Utilize AP Style, AMA Manual of Style, branding standards, organizational terminology, and messaging frameworks.
β’ Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team to uphold a cohesive organizational voice.
β’ Work alongside Credentialing Services, Examination Excellence, and Operations teams on communication efforts.
β’ Establish editorial workflows, review methods, and quality control processes.
β’ Review and refine communications for readability, tone, accessibility, inclusivity, brand consistency, and appropriateness for the audience.
β’ Maintain and enhance style guides, templates, editorial resources, and content governance documentation.
β’ Offer advice to the team on communication practices, audience engagement, message framing, and content creation.
β’ Provide editorial support for visual, video, multimedia, and digital assets.
β’ Manage asset libraries, communication templates, presentation repositories, and content management resources.
β’ Conduct periodic audits of communications, digital platforms, shared resources, and materials directed at stakeholders.
β’ Deliver training, coaching, and consultation on editorial standards and best practices in communication.
β’ Suggest enhancements to communication processes, standards, templates, and governance practices.
β’ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
β’ Proficient grammar and vocabulary in both verbal and written contexts.
β’ Effective time management and organizational abilities.
β’ Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
β’ Capability to identify issues, explore alternatives, consult with peers, and implement solutions.
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
β’ Dependable and punctual.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
β’ Understanding of safe and ethical AI tools.
β’ Associateβs or bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Preferred experience or educational background in medical laboratory science, pathology, laboratory medicine, healthcare, or a related field.
β’ Demonstrated experience in reviewing and editing examination questions in laboratory medicine, pathology, or related areas is preferred.
β’ Experience in applying communication and de-escalation strategies to address constituent inquiries and concerns is preferred.
β’ ASCP BOC credential holders are strongly encouraged to apply.
