Cooling Tower Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Clean both package and field-erected cooling tower systems.

• Safely operate power washers, ensuring proper selection and use of spray heads.

• Adhere to supervisor directives to complete projects in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

• Uphold OBR standards related to safety, efficiency, and quality.

• Conduct pre- and post-treatment procedures.

• Accurately measure free chlorine levels in the circulating water of cooling towers.

• Fill out Task Hazard Analysis forms and other safety documentation as required.

• Interpret and implement information found in Material Safety Data Sheets.

• Employ correct techniques for chemical handling.

• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman.

• Frequently travel in a fast-paced, mobile work environment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Successful completion of a negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.

• Possession of a valid Driver's License.

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.

• A satisfactory background check is mandatory.

• Achieve a score of 2 or less on a DISA background screen.

• OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs., as well as bend, climb, and stoop when necessary.

• Competence in keyboarding/typing and reading from screens or printed materials.

• Willingness to work outdoors or in plant settings with exposure to varying weather conditions, heat, noise, and nearby hazardous chemicals.

• Ability to handle high workloads and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in performing tasks at heights while ensuring 100% tie-off when working above 4 feet.
