Controller – Head of Controlling, CFO Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kosovo.

📋 Description

• Perform a thorough evaluation of the accounting firm, including employee performance, comparison of recorded to billed hours, fees, contribution margins for client engagements, and identification of outstanding or overlooked assignments.

• Create a strong KPI system and reporting structure.

• Directly report to management.

• Take the initiative to independently implement initiatives and corrective actions.

• Assist in developing external CFO services for clients.

• Formulate liquidity planning, forecasts, and early-warning systems.

• Utilize AI through the company’s proprietary controlling tool.

• Engage directly with German managing directors and entrepreneurs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional proficiency in the German language (minimum C1 level), both in writing and speaking.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in controlling or finance.

• Currently holding a position of responsibility, such as Head of Finance, Finance Manager, or Senior Controller.

• Experience in managing teams or projects.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Regular usage of AI tools as part of your work routine.

• Preferred: Background in tax advisory or auditing.

• Preferred: Familiarity with DATEV.

• Preferred: Experience with Power BI, SQL, or comparable tools.

• Preferred: Professional experience in banks, insurance companies, audit firms, or German/Austrian companies.

• Professionals returning from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland are particularly encouraged to apply.

• Not suitable for candidates with a solely accounting-focused background, those lacking German language skills, or entry-level and junior applicants.
