Corporate Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare precise and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Take ownership of the monthly closing process, encompassing all reconciliations and supporting schedules.

• Supervise the reconciliation of accounts to guarantee their accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal government reporting mandates and tax filings.

• Lead the effective execution of the external audit.

• Oversee accounting operational functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls over accounting practices.

• Guide and support a team of 7, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

• Manage daily accounting operations, uphold a sufficient system of accounting records, and ensure reported outcomes comply with GAAP.

• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience as a Controller.

• Experience with a leading accounting firm (e.g., Big 4, Grant Thornton, BDO) is advantageous.

• Strong comprehension of GAAP and financial processes (monthly close, reporting, etc.).

• Experience with exit transactions and acquisition integration is a plus.

• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.

• Familiarity with Intacct is beneficial.

• Experience utilizing AI to enhance efficiencies.

• Strong focus on detail and precision.

• Candidates must reside in the U.S. / role is remote within the U.S.
