Contract Training Instructor – Construction & Industrial Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide company-sanctioned classroom, hands-on, and virtual safety training to clients in the construction, oil and gas, and general industrial sectors.

• Set up classrooms, training tools, practical activities, and necessary tasks for accepted assignments.

• Leverage relevant field experience, practical examples, and a personalized teaching approach while adhering to approved curriculum and instructional guidelines.

• Guide classroom discussions, practical exercises, knowledge assessments, and hands-on evaluations.

• Accurately complete attendance logs, assessments, class documentation, and post-course reports in a timely manner.

• Liaise with designated company contacts regarding class requirements, learner issues, documentation concerns, and potential delivery risks.

• Engage in course-specific qualifications, curriculum revisions, instructor standardization, and regular class observations.

• Keep up-to-date with relevant knowledge, qualifications, and credentials for assigned topics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in teaching safety courses or conducting instructor-led classes is essential.

• Proven expertise in at least one relevant safety subject is required.

• Significant field experience in construction, oil and gas, general industry, electrical safety, equipment inspection, or a similar environment is highly preferred.

• Experience in teaching adult learners and facilitating both classroom and hands-on instruction is preferred.

• Relevant safety credentials, instructor certifications, train-the-trainer qualifications, or industry-recognized designations are favored and may differ by subject.

• Openness to complete company course orientation and demonstrate proficiency before independently delivering each approved course.

• Willingness to enhance additional subject matter knowledge and instructional qualifications.
