This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and oversee state agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, amendments and change orders, NDAs, teaming agreements, software/SaaS/technology agreements, vendor and subcontractor agreements, and agreements related to healthcare services.
• Spearhead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and business partners.
• Assess contractual risks and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
• Clarify contract provisions and advise legal and contract teams regarding rights, obligations, and compliance mandates.
• Work in partnership with U.S.-based contract managers, attorneys, and business leaders to address legal, commercial, operational, and compliance challenges.
• Assist in bid and procurement processes, including proposal and contract evaluations for RFPs and government healthcare initiatives.
• Ensure that contracts adhere to corporate policies, relevant laws, healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and contracting norms.
• Keep contract records and manage contracts via contract lifecycle management systems.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, renewals, notifications, and expiration dates.
• Educate and guide internal stakeholders on contract procedures and risk management practices.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners and act as a reliable business advisor.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a law degree from a recognized university in India is preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. contract law, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles.
• Capability to autonomously review, negotiate, and manage complex agreements while influencing stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and summarizing contracts and associated risks with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including interactions with U.S.-based executives and legal professionals.
• Proficient in identifying, interpreting, and summarizing contractual terms and articulating legal and business implications.
• Experience handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and demonstrate sound judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and contract lifecycle management tools.
• Preferred: experience in supporting U.S. healthcare, healthcare technology, managed care, health plans, or Medicaid-related contracts.
• Preferred: knowledge of healthcare privacy, data security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Preferred: experience in supporting U.S. state government contracts, healthcare procurements, or large-scale outsourcing arrangements.
• Preferred: experience within a multinational or global organization supporting U.S.-based operations.
