This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.
• Lead the transformation of operations across North American manufacturing locations through both tactical and strategic Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Oversee Lean Six Sigma projects that deliver significant value and drive operational transformation.
• Identify process gaps, formulate improvement plans, and implement solutions for manufacturing processes, organizational capabilities, and a high-performance culture.
• Create and implement Enterprise standards aligned with Kimberly-Clark’s Power Up pillars across North American manufacturing sites.
• Partner with plant Continuous Improvement managers on change management, training, implementation, coaching, and evaluations.
• Implement operational excellence principles and LEAN fundamentals, focusing on OEE transformation, safety, quality, and efficiency enhancements.
• Act as a subject matter expert in LEAN manufacturing, enhancing capabilities across the North American manufacturing sector.
• Track mill-operation KPIs and develop visual management tools, tiered scorecards, and Leader Standard Work.
• Enhance yield, minimize waste, improve quality, and boost productivity using Six Sigma and LEAN techniques.
• Collaborate with the digital capabilities team to identify and promote technology improvement solutions.
• Develop both people and process capabilities to sustain the Power Up Enterprise Operating System.
• Facilitate workshops to support the deployment of Power Up initiatives.
• Mentor business unit leaders and Lean Six Sigma candidates.
• Provide training on Lean tools, processes, and philosophies to employees at all organizational levels.
• Promote standardization, simplification, innovative thinking, and a Culture of Accountability.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and best practices across facilities and functions.
• Manage stakeholder relations through structured organizational forums and methods.
• Knowledge and experience typically associated with a bachelor's or advanced degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess or be pursuing LSS Black Belt certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in a high-speed industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Experience in direct or indirect manufacturing/operations, supply chain, and/or finance.
• Understanding of organizational structures.
• Extensive experience in Engineering, Operations, Lean Manufacturing, and Reliability.
• Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and Lean Six Sigma tools and theories.
• Capability to organize and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire, empower, train, and coach diverse team members.
• Experience in developing vision and strategic objectives.
• A problem-solving mindset equipped with robust project management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Suite is highly desirable.
• Experience across multiple mills, product systems, and staff roles is highly preferred.
• Leadership experience with both exempt and non-exempt workforces is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Adult Learning processes, Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, systems, and tools is highly preferred.
• Experience managing change within large and complex organizations.
• Coaching and mentoring experience across all organizational levels.
• Ability to work safely within a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to support 24/7 operations, which may require variable hours and shift work.
• Readiness to travel approximately 50%, potentially more, including possible international travel.
