Content Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality content that addresses the inquiries of prospects and customers for search engines and AI assistants.

• Transform cybersecurity and risk concepts into precise, insightful, and readable material.

• Update and enhance existing articles and web pages.

• Develop and maintain comparison and competitor pages.

• Publish and format content within the CMS, ensuring proper headings, metadata, internal links, and image alt text.

• Analyze content performance alongside the Growth Marketing team, utilizing insights to enhance future content.

• Ensure that all content aligns with UpGuard’s brand Voice and Tone.

• Report to the Content Writer Manager as a member of the Growth Squad.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional content writing experience, including search-optimized content, preferably in B2B SaaS or Cybersecurity.

• A portfolio showcasing long-form articles, comparison pages, or other search-focused content.

• Strong understanding of SEO principles, including search intent, keyword utilization, content organization, internal linking, metadata, and AI search.

• Practical experience in uploading and formatting content within a website CMS.

• Ability to simplify complex technical or risk management concepts into clear, engaging, and authoritative content.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple content projects in a fast-paced environment independently.

• Skill in collaborating effectively with web, growth, and creative teams.

• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

• Must be based in South Africa.

• Experience in generating content that drives measurable traffic and leads is a plus.

• A background in cybersecurity, vendor risk, or third-party risk management is advantageous.

• Comfort with utilizing AI tools and refining AI-generated content is preferred.

• Must undergo a national police history check and reference checks.

• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa without the need for company visa sponsorship.
