Content Migration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Plan and implement the migration from Drupal to the new headless CMS utilizing content provided by the Client.

• Maintain bilingual relationships, metadata, media, links, and redirects throughout the process.

• Reconcile the migrated content prior to the official launch.

• Conduct repeatable trial migrations to ensure accuracy.

• Carry out validation and exception reporting to identify any issues.

• Strategize for cut-over and rollback procedures.

• Collaborate closely with the Client's internal team and the Archive's technical delivery team.

• Produce comprehensive documentation and facilitate a smooth handover.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in extracting and migrating content from Drupal into structured content platforms.

• Proficient in content mapping, transformation scripts, media transfer, and conducting repeatable trial migrations.

• Knowledge of taxonomy, bilingual relationships, accessibility attributes, and URL redirect mapping.

• Skills in reconciliation, exception reporting, validation, and cut-over/rollback planning.

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

• Must be available within a month of hiring.

• Must reside in Canada.

• Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.

• Availability during standard EST business hours is necessary.

• Experience in nonprofit or educational sectors is an advantage.

• Fluency in spoken and written French is a significant asset.
