Content Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance content that is accessible and inclusive, focusing on user journeys for parents, caregivers, and young individuals.

• Leverage research, analytics, search insights, user behavior, and feedback to gain insights into user needs and guide content strategies.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to simplify complex and occasionally sensitive information into clear and beneficial content.

• Manage the content process from research and design to review, publication, and continuous improvement.

• Provide content design expertise in multidisciplinary projects alongside product, development, and technical teams.

• Champion evidence-based, user-centered, and accessible content throughout the organization.

• Focus primarily on Parent Talk, the digital parenting support service offered by Action for Children.

• Report directly to the Senior Content Designer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the UK.

• Proven hands-on experience in content design, particularly in identifying user needs through evidence and translating those into effective digital content or user journeys.

• Proficiency in utilizing research, analytics, search insights, user behavior, feedback, or other forms of evidence to inform and assess content decisions.

• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design content that meets user needs, especially when dealing with complex information where precision is essential.

• Practical experience in accessibility and inclusive content design is required.

• Familiarity with content management systems, user testing, SEO, and web writing is also advantageous.

• A Basic DBS vetting level is mandatory.
