Consulting and Technical Customer Support – Infrastructure, GIS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure the seamless functioning of the software for clients and within the SaaS environment.

• Manage project tasks either independently or in collaboration with others.

• Assist customers in utilizing the MapEdit product suite, Barthauer wastewater solutions, and selected Autodesk infrastructure tools.

• Address customer inquiries and replicate reported issues.

• Serve as a communication bridge between development teams and clients.

• Keep clients and project team members updated on the progress of ongoing tasks.

• Execute data migrations and system transitions from third-party and legacy systems to the software solution.

• Respond to inquiries using the documentation and knowledge base, while contributing to their ongoing enhancement.

• Actively engage in software testing and quality assurance for the proprietary MapEdit product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, geoinformatics, surveying, or geography; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT specialist or surveying technician, or a comparable qualification or relevant professional experience.

• Initial experience with geographic information systems, CAD, and GIS systems.

• Basic understanding of SQL and Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.

• Familiarity with wastewater software solutions, such as those from Barthauer, and FME by Safe Software is a plus.

• Interest in understanding and enhancing technically advanced software.

• Strong communication skills when interacting with both colleagues and clients.

• Ability to work autonomously and a high level of teamwork spirit.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Proficient in German and good command of English.

• Knowledge of French is an advantage.
