Consultant, Submarine Systems Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical interactions with submarine clients

• Develop and assess both submarine and terrestrial network solutions

• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and engineering teams

• Facilitate hyperscaler connectivity initiatives

• Serve as a reliable technical consultant for customers and internal teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline

• Over 10 years of experience in DWDM/optical transport technologies, optical engineering, testing, and Layer 0 networking

• More than 5 years in submarine networking

• Strong knowledge of Open Cable systems, Converged Optical Ethernet, OTN, Carrier Ethernet, IP networking, and network management

• Familiarity with 100G/400G/800G+ coherent technologies and hyperscale networking environments

• Understanding of data center architectures, cloud networking, and automation

• Exceptional customer-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities

• Self-motivated, collaborative, and open to travel (approximately 30%)
