Consultant – Part-time, Flexible

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to saving lives, minimizing serious injuries, and enhancing DEKRA clients’ safety culture through organizational change initiatives.

• Facilitate workshops and presentations for diverse groups.

• Provide one-on-one coaching and small-group field support for clients.

• Advance to project management roles on increasingly intricate client projects.

• Comprehend client goals and tailor DEKRA’s centerline model for effective engagement.

• Establish and guide efficient safety governance in alignment with client organizational frameworks.

• Implement DEKRA’s solutions leveraging expertise in leadership, safety, and project execution.

• Mentor client leaders, from frontline staff to senior management, acting as a trusted consultant.

• Monitor progress against client goals and modify approaches as necessary.

• Maintain open communication regarding client safety performance, business challenges, and industry developments.

• Regularly engage with client leadership, delivery teams, and project groups.

• Produce high-quality internal deliverables while adhering to deadlines.

• Facilitate and oversee project team success while leading client initiatives.

• Ensure solutions are cohesive and aligned with client objectives.

• Offer performance-related feedback to consultants and highlight success stories and guidance.

• Manage project plans and consultant schedules effectively.

• Fulfill assigned billable hours and participate in internal projects.

• Oversee realization rates and consultant utilization.

• Attain monthly forecast accuracy.

• Strengthen client relationships and identify further opportunities.

• Uphold DEKRA’s professional brand and secure client endorsements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in organizational change, operations with safety responsibility, industrial consulting, or a safety-related role.

• CSP or equivalent certification is preferred.

• LEAN Green/Black Belt certification is preferred.

• Experience presenting to leaders from frontline staff to senior management.

• Proven cognitive flexibility.

• Ability to successfully navigate client uncertainty.

• Capability to gain in-depth knowledge of DEKRA solutions.

• Skill in interpreting the effects of non-safety processes on safety and culture.

• Proficiency in developing strategic plans that support the scope of work and overall safety excellence.

• Ability to manage client satisfaction and DEKRA business operations.

• Expertise in fostering a project team culture that aligns with business values.

• Familiarity with various governance structures.

• Understanding of leading and lagging metrics.

• Proficiency in implementing effective change management.

• Knowledge of best practices in Safety Management Systems.

• Ability to lead a matrixed team and nurture talent.

• Willingness to work in various client locations, environments, and conditions.

• Flexibility to accommodate different shifts as client activities require.

• Capacity to endure extensive travel, including challenging trips and long durations of driving.

• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. of luggage.

• Capability to perform prolonged computer-based work and stand for extended periods.

• Domestic and/or potential international travel is required, estimated up to 75%.
