Consultant, Pain Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and oversee patients utilizing cannabis-based therapies

• Make informed clinical decisions regarding the appropriateness of treatment

• Oversee the ongoing care of patients

• Deliver exceptional care to patients seeking medical cannabis solutions

• Conduct patient consultations, encompassing assessment and continued management

• Engage in the collection of clinical outcome data to promote evidence-based practices

• Contribute to clinical governance and uphold high patient care standards

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and pharmacists

• Partake in continuous training and professional growth

• Concentrate on prescribing and patient care while nurses and pharmacists manage pre-consultation and follow-up prescribing duties

• Conduct 15-minute appointments within standard 4-hour sessions

⛳️ Requirements

• Full GMC Registration

• Completion of Specialist Training (CCST/CCT) or equivalent certification

• Listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Pain

• Experienced Pain Management Consultant

• Strong clinical judgement

• Proven interest in alternative therapies

• Willingness to engage in data collection and reporting

• Genuine interest in enhancing outcomes for patients with complex chronic pain

• No prior experience with cannabis-based treatments required

• Must initially commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per week / 8 hours

• Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom
